Andrew Cox is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery at Mendelson Orthopedics, part of Synergy Health Partners in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Since 2016, he has provided physician-supervised orthopedic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including first-assist surgical support at a Level III trauma center. His clinical skills include casting, splinting, intra-articular injections, suturing, and fracture reductions.
Before entering orthopedics, Andrew spent 13 years in emergency medical services as a paramedic with Medstar Ambulance, responding to 911 emergencies and later serving as Alternate Supervisor. He also worked as a Tactical Paramedic and Medic Team Leader, serving as a sworn Reserve Deputy supporting the Macomb County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team.
Andrew earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Toledo in 2015 and his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health Services from Western Michigan University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support and holds a DEA license.
